The NJROTC program at Jefferson begins in the freshman year and continues to the finish of high school, and can carry on into college which at that point becomes the ROTC program. However there are many things you can do to start learning about our program and the United States Navy now. The first step is to visit our web site and being that you are already here you are well on your way to learning what Jefferson NJROTC is about. We will continue to add information that will help to guide you in better understanding what the program is about and what will be required of you as a NJROTC Cadet. If you deside this is for you, simply select the Naval Science (NJROTC) Course for your freshman year. It is really that easy, however you can never be too knowledgeable or prepared. If the NJROTC program appeals to you and you are at least 13 years of age and can't wait to get started learning about what the U.S. Navy has to offer your future, you may want to join the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, which will enable you to sample military life by learning skills in basic seamanship, train aboard U.S. Navy or Coast Guard ships, and participate in shore activities such as attending boot camps, and you will also be issued a Navy uniform.
