"Each And Every Day"

As the sun starts to shimmer on our shores
And we head out to school,
or to complete our daily chores
We should remember those
that keep us safe and free
Those who leave behind a family
I choose to take a moment everyday
To recite the pledge of allegiance and to pray
The heroes who have fought for us so brave
Deserve to know we realize all they gave
I think we should do more to remind them
That we each stand up behind them
And in the highest regard
we will always hold their names

GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY
SOLDIER WHOM HAS EVER
SERVED OUR GREAT COUNTRY
AND ALL THOSE WHOM ARE WILLING!!!

By Michael and Gordie Magoon

Please Remember,
Our freedoms that we sometimes take for granted
as we go about our daily lives, have been earned
with blood, tears, and bravery.

"American Girl"

I could hear you calling out
my name
But I was all alone in the pouring rain
I wanna touch you now
I could feel you all around me
I could feel you coming and you were so near
Soon you would will free me of all my fears
I could see the smile on your angle face
And was longing for your love embrase
I gazed apon the stary skies
A nock on my door tears fill my eyes
If I could have you back again
And we could love and laugh and then
Start back off where you left my side
Just days before you would become my bride
I would charish every single day
And never again let you walk away
I remember thinking then how you were so brave
not a tear just a hug and wave
I must have prayed and thought for hours
And remembered you did cry once when you saw the towers
You never were one to be affraid
And always rose when the banner played
But I sure do miss you and I'm damn sure proud
I still hang out with our old crowd
It's sometimes hard when I realize
I'll never again see you smile or that look in your eyes
I know if you had a chance you'd do it all again
And with so many like you who'd give it all to win
Freedom will live on and on forever
My darling, again one fine day we will be together
I hear you calling out my name
But I'm all alone in the pouring rain
I wanna touch you now
I can feel you all around me
I feel you coming and your so near
Soon you will free me of all my fears
I see the smile on your angle face
And I'm longing for your love embrase
I gaze apon the stary skies
Memories of you tears fill my eyes

This poem was written in tribute to my buddy's girl, Whom I wont mention by name, and all the young families left torn apart by this, and other wars.
