Program Directors

Commander Michael O'Connor(right)
Senior Chief Boatwains Mate Kenneth Cox (left)

Our program instructors, Commander Michael O'conner, and Senior Chief Boatwains Mate Kenneth Cox are two very dedicated men. They teach us that if we strive for perfection, we are sure to achieve greatness. They each strive for perfection and our unit does achieve greatness. Their main objective is for each cadet to walk away from the program with greater self esteem and with the tools to better themselves, not so much to gain recruits. Not enough good things can really be said about these two men. They are much more than teachers or mentors, I like to think of them as beacons on the sea of life where it is easy to get off course. In just a few short months I have watched as my new classmates have transformed from mere kids and students into fine young men and women with a purpose and a career ahead of them, weather they enter the Navy or other armed service or not. What it is about them I don't exactly know, but these are two men in each cadets live they don't want to let down. They were surely selected based upon their personalities and patients which they both have allot of, and it sure pays off. I for one owe them allot for the knowledge and direction they have armed me with.

LIFE IS REAL. TAKE IT HEAD ON.
NEVER TAKE MIND, MOOD, OR SPIRIT ALTERING DRUGS
